I remember one of my first healing service, Fort Wayne, Indiana. A little Amish girl sitting, playing that piano, “The great Physician now is near, the sympathizing Jesus.” A little baby was brought to me on the platform, it was crippled. And while I was praying for that baby, it jumped out of my arms and run down across the platform. The mother fainted. The grandmother threw up her handkerchief, begin to cry.

And this little Amish girl now, not knowing nothing about anything about Pentecostals, because she belonged to the Amish church; but she was playing. Her long hair fell down; she raised in the Spirit and begin to sing in unknown tongues, and the…and with the harmony of that song. And them piano keys moved up-and-down, playing, “The great Physician now is near, the sympathizing Jesus.” Amen! He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Now let us pray now as…Now let’s everybody out there pray. You people coming through the line, when we lay hands upon you, remember, Jesus said, “If you would believe it, you would be well.” You believe it? Now let’s all sing now.

The great Physician now is near,
The sympathizing Jesus,
He speaks…(Let’s just close our eyes now as we sing)…hearts to cheer,
Oh, hear the voice of Jesus.
Sweetest note in seraph song,
Sweetest name on mortal tongue,
Sweetest…(Father God, move upon the people now)…sung,
O Jesus, blessed Jesus.

“The great…” Now as you walk through now, He is here. Take my word, or you believe it yourself, He is here. Everybody in prayer out there now for the people.

Many years ago there was another conference, I’d like to speak just a moment of. That was the Yuletide season that we’re now entering, whether there would be a Christmas, or not. But there was a conference made in Heaven, what this plan of redemption would be. And it was decided by God, that He would become a Man, that He would come down and take His Own curse upon Himself. It would not be fair for Him to send an Angel. It wouldn’t be fair for Him to send any other person. Even if He had a boy, it would not be fair for Him to send His boy.

But, God, to strike the death blow to sin, look how He come. How did He chose to come? There was a conference in Heaven. “How You going down? How You going to do it, Father,” said the Angels.

“I’m going to become one of them. My law of redemption, is, ‘A near kinsman.’ And I’ll have to be Man, Myself.” That’s the strike that knocked Satan. Born! He could have come down with Cherubims. He could have come down the golden ladders. There could have been anthems sung through the heavens, and He could have walked to the earth, and expel everything. But when He held the conference, He decided to come as a Babe. 113 In Isaiah 9:6, we find it. “Unto us a Child is born, a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulders; and His Name shall be called the Counsellor, Prince of Peace, The mighty God, The everlasting Father. And of His dominion there shall be no end.”

He had to bear our sin, and there He died, and on Calvary when that old bee and death once anchored its stinger. Anyone knows, when a bee anchors its stinger, it can’t sting no more. When the bee flies away or any insect that stings, when he anchors his stinger, he pulls the stinger out. He’s still a bee but he hasn’t got a stinger. The only thing he can do is buzz and make a lot of noise. That’s the only thing that death can do to the believer, is make a lot of noise. But, hallelujah, blessed be the Name of the Lord, He anchored that stinger of death in His own flesh. Emmanuel did it. Rose up again, on the third day, shook the stinger out of there, and is Immortal tonight. And His Spirit is in this building, and He proves Hisself alive among us. That’s our Messiah. That’s our blessed Saviour.
